A loan of $4,675 helped a member to buy clothing.

Prosperidad Y Exito Group's story

Martha is a member of the Prosperidad y Éxito (Prosperity and Success) community group. Martha is married, 43 years old, her three children are in school. Martha has always worked and since a young age was inclined to work independently. And so it was that she decided to open a bazaar where she sells clothing and lingerie. She works daily approximately 6 to 7 hours. Her business enables her to provide stable support to her family and be able to pay the university education of one of her daughters. With the loan she will be able to invest in buying clothing for her bazaar, above all winter clothing as that what her customers are seeking. In the future her dream is to have her own locale so she would not have to pay rent thus increasing her income. Martha is thankful for her loan and that of her communal group as now thanks to the KIVA investors they can be successful. Martha is the first on the left, dressed in the blouse with the red blocks and black pants.
