A loan of $650 helped to buy hens and bananas to sell.

Adilia's story

Adilia, 62, is a single mother and lives in her own house with one of her three children. She sells food such as bananas, lemons, yucca plant, fruits, etc. She buys the products directly from the farmers or native communities and brings them to the city to sell at good prices. For 20 years she has been in business and work activity is always higher in the city when some important festivity is being celebrated. She also sells used clothing and perfume products on a temporary basis.

What she enjoys about her work is the fact that she can be in contact with people. She is happy to be able to generate her own income and cover her expenses. On this occasion, she is requesting 1,800 PEN. She is grateful and content knowing she can continue counting on financial support so her business can prosper. The loan will be used to buy hens, bananas and "bijao" leaves to sell during the patron saint celebrations.
