A loan of $550 helped buy various merchandise, including accessories, clothing, baseball caps, and watches.

Manuel De Jesus's story

Manuel started his personal image improvement business 6 years ago, cutting his friends' hair outside. Today, he not only has a barbershop but also offers various goods to his customers, such as accessories, clothing, baseball caps, watches, etc. This generates income for him while working as a barber. He makes his sales via cash and sells from 9 am to 9 pm. The city market is where he buys the supplies that he uses for his barbershop and also the goods that he promotes to current and potential customers in the area where he works.

His goal for the future is to expand his business and have his own house. His greatest challenge is to keep all his customers satisfied by offering them goods that exceed their expectations. He is now applying to his first Kiva loan via the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation. With it, he will buy various merchandise, including accessories, clothes, baseball caps, and watches.

With this investment, he hopes to improve his business, obtain more income, and satisfy his customers. This is exactly what makes Kiva loans so successful.
