A loan of $375 helped buy secondhand clothing wholesale.

Arminita's story

Arminita is 57 years old, is a widow, and has 3 children (ages 25, 23, and 18) with whom she lives in her own house. Arminita works selling secondhand clothing for all occasions for women, men, and children. She does so in a shop inside her house and also at a stand at the market. She is very sought-after by her neighbors in the community, friends, and family members due to her friendly and cordial service.

She buys all of her merchandise in a nearby city. She started her business with her own money and has been doing it for more than 8 years, during which time she has become well-known and increased her number of regular customers. In addition, her daughter is now helping her.

This is her 7th Kiva loan and she is grateful for the financial help that she gets in order to keep going. In addition, she promises to make her payments on time. With the amount requested (1000 sols) she will buy secondhand clothes for men, women, and children of various sizes and brands. She buys all of these goods in bulk, looking for low prices. In this way, she obtains the best profits.
