A loan of $475 helped to purchase another buffalo.

Sughran's story

Sughran, age 54, has been selling milk from her three buffaloes with the support of her husband for about 12 years. She also makes butter and cheese with this milk to generate extra revenue. Her husband assists her by selling the milk door-to-door on a daily basis. They feel pleasure in conducting this business to secure the future of their two children, both of whom are attending school.

Sughran needs to earn much more to meet their everyday needs, which include food, clothing and education. She has therefore requested a loan of Rs 45,000/- to purchase another buffalo to increase milk production, hopeful of earning more revenue through a greater volume of sales.
