Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $3,000 helped to paint her tailoring shop and buy more fabric.

Mai's story

Mai, 24, is from Tulkarem.

She is married.

She has owned a tailoring shop since 2012 and has 3 employees who help her.

She asked Ryada for this youth loan in order to paint her tailoring shop and buy more fabric.

She hopes that this loan will help her enlarge the scope of work and thus help her improve her family's income.

The one who appears in the picture is Mai's husband. Due to cultural manners, she couldn't take pose for a picture herself.
