A loan of $1,000 helped to buy agricultural supplies and pay labor costs.

Romualdo's story

Romualdo, 47, has two children. He’s worked in agriculture since he was young, for about 35 years now more or less; he’s always worked in agriculture.

He states that he wants to buy five quintals of fertilizer and to pay for labor costs to prepare a parcel of land where he wants to plant manioc. He needs to expand his crop, that is to plant more than usual because he has no other source of employment that will allow him to get ahead.

Thus, he will improve his income when he gathers the harvest and will provide better attention to his children since they need the basics but they are still little and need proper food, housing and care. His wish is to buy another small parcel of land that’s near his house to leave to his children.
