A loan of $600 helped to buy agricultural supplies and to invest in his small store.

Francisco's story

Francisco, 42, has a spouse and three children. Since childhood he’s worked in agriculture, about 32 years now. He learned the occupation from his father who always taught him so that he’d learn it.

He states that he will buy 4 quintals of fertilizer, two quintals of feed concentrate to feed 1,000 fish and the rest of the loan will be invested in the small store he has. With this investment he hopes to see a good crop, that is, to provide it with all the care and maintenance needed and to feed his fish well in order to improve because he’ll get a better harvest and thus earn higher income. Besides, he’ll get his fish production to market sooner which will make it possible for him to meet all his demands at home.

He plans to enlarge the fish tanks and fill them with more fish so they will reproduce to earn higher profits.
