A loan of $1,100 helped to buy manure, fertilizer, etc.

Jose Luis's story

José, 32, is very charismatic and very much wants to make progress. He believes that if he lets a bad mood take over he won’t work well and above all won’t be good for his family above all because he has a 2-year-old son. He lives with his wife who is his right hand and above all his friend and the shoulder he can rest on when he needs support. His house is located in the city of Pisco noted for its hot weather year-round; it’s called ‘City of Eternal Sun.” Agriculture, especially corn, broad beans, white beans and others is common here. He attended secondary school but would have liked to have studied Agronomy.

With much effort and above all a strong wish to get ahead, José works on his land growing corn. He works about 10 hours daily in his business above all because he’s always watchful to keep his plants safe from infestations so that the harvest will be good. He believes he does well in his business because he’s dedicated and very well-known by the customers.

José is very happy and grateful for the help Kiva lenders are giving him because thanks to the support they’ve provided he will be able to buy supplies like manure and fertilizer for his plants to be able to improve next years’ harvest and improve his income. In this way he will be able to continue striving daily to make his greatest dream reality: to own a house.
