A loan of $375 helped to purchase wood, plaster and other products for the manufacture of bricks.

Flor's story

Flor, 30 years old, is married and has a daughter with whom she lives in her own house. Flor makes a living manufacturing bricks. She says that she doesn’t have her own oven and therefore she has to rent one. “I am already saving to be able to build my own brickworks,” she says. That's why she now eagerly hopes to be able to increase her production of 3 thousand a week to 6 thousand. She will obtain this goal with greater working capital and with personnel that she will hire since the efforts that she and her husband make are not enough to cover the orders that she has daily.

This is her first loan with Kiva and she feels grateful for the financial support that she is receiving to move forward. She is also committed to paying her installments in a timely manner. Flor will invest the 1,000 soles (PEN) in the purchase of materials like wood, plaster and other products that are used in the manufacture of bricks.
