A loan of $300 helped to buy soil amendments and herbicide.

Luciano's story

Luciano, 48, has a spouse and a son. He has made a living in agriculture since he was 10; he has worked in this field practically his whole life. His father was the best teacher he has known because he taught him everything he knows and he does it in a correct and orderly fashion. Thanks to what his father taught him he got ahead with his life partner and his son. Also, sometimes he's hired as a construction assistant and he has another source of income besides agriculture.

He gets the fertilizer and herbicide he needs for his corn crops in the departmental capital. It takes him 30 minutes to get to the canton entrance, from where he has to carry the inputs on his back to his house.

The loan he's requesting from Fundación Campo is to buy two sacks of soil amendments and four liters of herbicide. This will help him buy the inputs he needs to grow 7,000 square meters of corn and have his crop in good condition with more suitable management.

He wants to remodel his house so his future children and heirs can have better living conditions than he had.
