A loan of $375 helped to buy baking supplies.

María's story

María, 62, has four children but she currently lives alone in her own house. María owns a very elegant, busy pastry shop in her city and also has several branches in nearby towns. María manages one of the pastry shops. “I do very well because I already know this business. My goal is that it grows much more and becomes one of the best,” she affirms. This is how she works day to day to reach her goal and to do so she needs working capital to meet her expectations. This is her first Kiva loan so she commits to be punctual with her monthly payments. María will use the 1,000 soles to buy ingredients for her cakes such as flour, butter and sugar, among others.
