A loan of $550 helped to buy guinea pigs.

Karina's story

Karina, 27, is a very kind, sincere young woman living in her parents’ house with her siblings. Karina works buying and selling guinea pigs, an activity that produces good income which is why she wants to get more deeply into it. What she likes about her work is caring for the guinea pigs; she enjoys doing it very much. She’s been in this activity for three years and it’s producing very good results. In time she’d like to open a business of her own which is why she’s saving money.

This is her second Kiva loan and she feels very grateful for the financial support she gets in order to move ahead which is why she commits to make her payments punctually. Karina will use the 1,500 soles to buy guinea pigs to increase her nursery size and improve the business.
