A loan of $150 helped to purchase more used clothes for her business.

Miama's story

This is 44-year-old Miama from St. Paul, Liberia. St. Paul is home to the oldest market in Liberia and is known for its fish due to its location by the sea. St. Paul is a suburb located just outside Monrovia, past the Free-port. It is one of the poorer areas and one will often find its residents living in sub-standard housing.

Miama completed 12th grade and is married to a policeman. She has three children between the ages of 20 and 13. Only two are in school and they all live at home. Miama has owned her own shop selling used clothes for the past five years. She will use the requested loan proceeds to purchase more used clothes for her business. On average, she works 10 hours a day at her business, which she started with money from her husband. She transports her merchandise by taxi and cites a small income as her biggest challenge. Her favorite part of her business is making a profit. In the future, she would like to build a house. She thanks you in advanced for your support!
