A loan of $1,250 helped to buy farming supplies to maintain her coffee crops.

Gloria Argentina's story

Gloria, 37 years old, is a woman who is a fighter and has many dreams. She has a large family made up of 6 children. Three of them live with her and are in primary school in different grades, and the other three are already adults with families. She has an incomplete primary school education and attended through third grade. She learned farming from her partner, who has supported her in everything necessary to move ahead and vice versa. The land they work together is their own, thanks to effort and dedication, and is located 25 minutes from the house where they live. Occasionally they get there on foot, and sometimes by car.

She is very happy because she has approached the COMIXMUL cooperative to ask for a loan to provide assistance to her coffee crops and they have opened their doors to her. She hopes to improve her harvest with the purchase of fertilizer, manure, urea, herbicide, etc.

Her dream is to create a solid patrimony for her children and the other generations, since as years pass it will be they who remain to administer the business which today she and her partner are forging for their well-being, and to confront the economic difficulties, among others, in a favorable way.
