A loan of $375 helped to buy food products like rice, sugar and milk, among others.

Leonel's story

Leonel is a young entrepreneur who is 33 years old. He lives with his wife and his two children in a house he has rented for 8 years. Lionel has a small grocery store that is located in his home. He tells us that his business is doing very well and he makes good profits because his store is located in a central area. Now he desires to grow his store. He already has shelves to put more food on, so all he is missing is the capital to buy more products. This is his first loan with Kiva and he is grateful for the economic support he is receiving. He promises to be punctual with his payments. In addition, he likes to work in his association where the members are responsible and supportive. Leonel will invest the $375 in the purchase of basic goods in order to stock his grocery store with items like rice, sugar and milk, among others.
