A loan of $550 helped to buy ingredients for preparing cakes as part of her business.

Cecilia's story

Cecilia is 41 years old, married, and lives in her own house along with her husband and their three children. Cecilia makes a living in a confectionery, which she learned while studying at an occupational education center. She has come to have many orders for the good work that she did and continues to do. When she does not have large orders, she sells from her house where she displays her products in a glass case. It has been two years since she began her business and she keeps it stable. She likes the confectionery and feels comfortable with her job since it has provided her many satisfactions, like an income and being able to become a successful businesswoman. That is why she has plans to open a soda fountain in her house, as her corner location is strategic for good business.

With this Kiva loan she is excited to know that there are people offering her financial support to continue developing her business. Meanwhile, she promises to be a punctual and responsible member. With the amount of 1,500 PEN she will buy ingredients for making her cakes like sugar, flour, eggs, and others. She will also buy cake tins and confectionery utensils.
