A loan of $900 helped to buy rice and sugar, among other things for her store.

Luzdina's story

Luzdina, 60, is divorced and lives in her own home with her three children. Luzdina sells edible goods. This is why she has designated a small space in her home where she sells her goods like rice, sugar, oils, eggs, milk, bread, tea, and other things. What she likes about this work is that it allows her to have an income, with which she pays her household expenses. She can also manage her finances and she hopes to later set up a larger store and stock it with new products. She is glad to know that she will have financial support for her business with this Kiva loan. With the amount of S/. 2500 that she has applied for, she will buy more groceries like rice, sugar, plantains, soft drinks, and eggs, which are the goods with the highest demand among her customers.
