A loan of $1,100 helped to buy ingredients for making food.

Karina's story

Karina, age 40, is married. She lives in her own house with her two children, and she is expecting her third child. Karina sells regional food like roasted chicken and stews, among others. She sells the food in front of her house. She has been in this business for four years, and her daughter helps her prepare the food.

She likes her business because it allows her to have an income with which she is able to help with the household expenses. She has plans to continue with her business and to keep it stable. That is the reason she wishes to buy better tables and chairs to provide her customers with greater comfort.

Karina is grateful for the opportunity and the trust placed in her with this Kiva loan. She pledges to make her payments punctually. She will use the requested 3,000 soles to buy ingredients to make the food. She will buy things like rice, potatoes, cooking oil, condiments, vegetables, and others.
