Galilea Group's story

Galilea is a group of 11 people located in Tres Valles whose main financial industries are growing pineapples and sugar cane.

Isabel is one of the members of the group. She is 60 years old. She only attended primary school and currently she is single. She says that before coming to live in the community she lived for a time in Villa Hermosa, Tabasco, where she decided to take a beauty course so she could open her own beauty salon. While she lived there she worked in this field and when she moved to Tres Valles she decided to open her business since she likes this activity very much and it has been her source of employment for more than 32 years.

Her business currently is located in the city center and is named for her granddaughter as she hopes to pass it on so the business survives. Besides providing stylist services she sometimes organizes courses for new students to the field.

Isabel is very happy in her work because it helped provide for her over the years and she has gained more customers little by little and is continuing teaching more people the craft.

Galilea is grateful for the support that has been provided through this loan.
