Specioza's story

Specioza is 24 years old and married with one child and some dependants. She lives in Kyotera town with her family. She also takes care of four other children who lost their parents.

Specioza is a businesswoman who deals in secondhand clothes and she is also a farmer who deals in agriculture, specifically maize and coffee growing for additional income. She has been in the secondhand clothes business since 2009. She works seven days a week and each day she works for 14 hours. She started this business in order to increase the income for her family and to be able to pay school fees for these children. She sells her products to residents around the town where she stays
She has acquired this loan in order to pay school fees for her children.

Her greatest dreams are opening up another outlet in Kyotera town and educating all her children to the highest levels of learning.

Like any other business, Specioza faces the challenges of high transport costs, delay of payments by her clients who take goods on credit and lack of enough capital to bring in stylish goods on time.

She describes herself as a hard working lady.
