A loan of $550 helped to buy more merchandise, for example, sacks of rice, sacks of sugar and noodles.

Edwin's story

Edwin was born in the city of Huancarani, but lives in the city of Pilcopata with his wife and small daughter. He is 26 years old. Edwin is an enterprising and hardworking person that gets ahead with a lot of effort and dedication. He has two business activities that he splits during his days, for example in the mornings or afternoons he offers urban transportation services and in his free time he manages a grocery store.

He has been in these businesses for many years and they are going well thanks to the effort he puts into his work. He is a member of the communal bank "Kusacha de Pilcopata" and requests a loan to buy more merchandise, for example sacks of rice, sacks of sugar and noodles and increase work capital in this manner. He is thankful for and values the loan and promises to to pay his monthly quotas responsibly.

The town of Pilcopata is known for its forestry industry, as well as lodging and restaurants. It is a point of entrance into the Manu National Park.
