A loan of $850 helped to buy fuel and spare parts for the water tank.

Ana Rosa's story

The Bienestar y Progreso community bank meets every 15 days in Colorado del Cantón Montecristi, known for its rich precolonial culture and handicrafts which are nationally and internationally known. It is the place of the famous straw hats.

55 year old Ana lives here, a single mother of four grown children, two of whom still live with her.

In order to make a living together with her children, many years ago she began distributing water. She has a tank and one of her children is in charge of making the trips to Manta city to deliver to some of the factories in the city as well as make home deliveries in Montecristi city. This is how she supported her family for many years.

This loan is going to be used to buy fuel and spare parts for the tank. She has been a member of the communal bank for more than 8 years and she is very thankful because the loans have enabled her to support her family.

Her dream is to have good health.
