A loan of $1,300 helped to buy variety items, especially school supplies.

Monica Lucia's story

Mónica lives in the Fortín sector of the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. She started her business activity by selling grilled wings, then grilled meat skewers and roasted corn. She finally set up a variety store, which she has had for five years. She works from 6:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The loan is to buy notebooks, pencils, and other school supplies. Mónica’s dream for the future is to have a bigger business that is able to generate the financial resources needed to pay for the family’s expenses.
