Jose Fernando's story

José, 26, lives in the city of Pucallpa, a city with a hot, welcoming climate that has beautiful scenery and varied cuisine. José has undergone many adversities but has managed to get ahead so much so that he succeeded in studying the career of Systems Engineering and thanks to his secured employment as a vendor in an institution in his city. With the fruits of his labor he’s able to help his parents with household expenses. José works about 9 hours a day and is always visiting clients. José believes he’s getting ahead because he’s responsible and above all because he very much wants to improve every day. José is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the support provided he will be able to buy merchandise like rice, noodles and sugar, among others to start a business selling groceries so he can have an additional source of income to continue supporting his family and striving toward reaching his greatest dream: to become a great businessman.
