A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a photocopier and a router.

Maria Auxiliadora's story

María, 45, lives in the city of León. She has a ten-year-old son attending primary school. She’s a cosmetologist but at the same time owns an Internet Café. This business has been in operation for a year since she noticed that her neighborhood needed this type of activity. She currently has seven computers to provide Internet access service. The business is quite frequented by young university students and by people who live nearby. Also, as another way of earning income she sells cosmetics at home.

She’s asking for financing to buy a photocopier and a router which will make it possible for her to provide better customer service. One of her future plans is to open two more Internet Cafés to tend to more people and provide them with this service.
