Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $125 helped to buy seeds and fertilizer.

Celia's story

Celia continues living in the city of Huancarani, in Huancarani province. This is where she carries out her personal and business activities. She continues growing, harvesting and selling cereals such as wheat, barley, 'moraya' (freeze-dried potato), corn, etc. She has been in this business for a number of years and is doing very well thanks to the effort that she puts into her work.

On this occasion, Celia needs a loan to buy seeds and fertilizers. She still belongs to Asociación Arariwa's "Mamacha Rosario" community bank and is grateful for the opportunity she is being given. She pledges to make her loan repayments on time.
