A loan of $500 helped to buy more women's shoes and slippers.

Albert's story

Albert is a 28-year-old young man. He works very hard to provide food for himself and his three younger siblings.

Albert is single and he sells second hand (used) shoes and other footwear in a market center. His previous loan enabled him to start trading in used shoes. For this he is very thankful to Sinapi. Through this business, he is financing his younger brothers’ education. Albert wants to use this new loan to buy more women's shoes and slippers to meet his clients’ preferences in the market. This will enable him to make more profits.

Albert is a member of a community group called “Enka ho daa” Trust Group. Members agree to act as social collateral to guarantee access to loans and to help repay the loans.
