Santa Cruz, Bolivia / Carpentry

A loan of $1,025 helped to buy wood for making doors.

Carlos's story

Carlos is 59 years old and has four children who are all over the age of 18. His business is making doors and kitchen cabinets and his carpentry workshop is located in Plan 3000 district, in the city of Santa Cruz. He has been in this business for 30 years now, having learned it from his father who was also a carpenter. This loan is Carlos' first from the institution. He will use it to buy wood for making doors as he currently has an order to fill. He is requesting this loan as he lacks the capital he needs to buy these work materials. Without it, he would be unable to make his doors. Carlos faces challenges in his business such as working his way out of poverty. He will use the profits he makes to improve his quality of life as this is the only work he has with which to provide for himself and his family. He feels happy and is grateful to the institution for the support they are providing.
