Reina's story

30-year-old Reina is a hard-working, entrepreneurial woman who is full of life and good health. She is the single mother of three children who she supports and takes care of. Reina did not complete her own primary education. She only studied up to the second year then had to stop because her parents were unable to support her financially. When she was a little girl, Reina's parents taught her to work the land as that was their family tradition and the only way they had of making income. Reina owns the land that she and her family currently work. It is located just 50 meters from her home and she walks there every day. The only challenges she faces are seasonal price fluctuations, changes in the weather and pests damaging her crops if she doesn't manage to deal with them in a timely manner.

Reina has requested financial support from COMIXMUL to buy fertilizers, manure, urea, Gramoxon and other supplies that she needs to keep her crops free of pests, with good foliage and good color.

Reina's dreams and future plans as a mother are to see her children graduate and become professionals so that they can improve their lifestyle and their skills and successfully face any financial problems that may arise with a strong inheritance behind them.
