A loan of $1,100 helped to buy maintenance supplies for her coffee crop.

Dunia Azucena's story

Dunia, 24, is married and has a two-year-old daughter. She has a third grade education and works with her husband in agriculture which she has been doing for three years. Her parents were the ones who taught her to grow coffee and bananas since this was their only source of income and still is for the family. The farmland is their own after many years of hard work and because of the popularity of their crop. The land is 50 meters away from home and they walk there every day to care for and maintain the crops.

Dunia is requesting a loan through the COMIXMUL co-operative in order to provide maintenance and care for her coffee crops. She will buy supplies such as fertilizers, urea and other items.

Her goal is to continue working so she can buy more land and expand her coffee plantation. She wants to plant a variety of products to attract more customers. As a mother, her dream is to see her daughter grow up with everything she needs so she can reach her goals and realize her dreams.
