A loan of $550 helped to buy children's clothing, toiletry items and lingerie.

Blanca's story

Blanca, 49 years old, lives in the city of Soledad. She makes a living selling products through specialized guides, through which she does all of her promotion. The principal articles she offers are children's clothing and lingerie. Blanca opened her business at the suggestion of an acquaintance. She tested out sales and found she was very successful. Since that moment four years ago, Blanca has not stopped working in sales. She works from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Her customers are workers at businesses and high schools. Blanca allows customers to buy products on credit even though she obtains merchandise with cash.

Blanca's goal is to eventually open her own store and improve her well-being. The biggest challenge she faces is a lack of capital. With this loan, her first through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, she will buy children's clothing, toiletry items, and lingerie. The loan will be her credit base to buy merchandise with while she collects outstanding payments from her customers. She will make this loan a good investment.
