Meet 45-year-old Kadiatu from Jui eastern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with three children between the ages of 18 and 25 years. For the past 15 years, Kadiatu has operated her general merchandise business. She began her business because she wanted to improve her standard of living. She works at the business for 12 hours per day and 7 days per week. She says that the main challenges to her business are price fluctuations and transportation costs.
Kadiatu requires a loan in order to purchase more cigarettes, soft drinks and sugar for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to increase her business. In the future, Kadiatu plans to open a food store. She thanks you for your support.
