A loan of $1,450 helped to buy chemical and organic fertilizer.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 36 years old. Her family is comprised of three members, two children and herself. It is a humble family with scarce financial resources. They live in the Mizque community in the Cochabamba department.

She works in agriculture and with cattle. She produces potatoes, beans, and onions. She sells them to the merchants in the same place where she lives, Mizque. Victoria is a much respected person in her community. This is because of her dedication to her work and for being very responsible about feeding and educating her children.

They live in a house with adobe walls and a roof made of bamboo, and mud plaster. This type of house has to be re-plastered every year before the rainy season.

Victoria is requesting the loan to buy more chemical fertilizer, organic fertilizer, and agrochemicals in order to have more production and better quality. This way she will improve the living conditions of her whole family.
