Quita's story

Quita is a 30-year-old business woman from Liberia. She is unmarried and has four children, between 11 years and 7 months. Three of them are currently attending school and they all live at home. She did not go to school and she describes herself as hardworking.

She lives and works in Gbarnga, the capital City of Bong County. Bong is located in the center of the country and is an agricultural hub. The majority of residents are farmers growing rice, palm oil and cassava.

For the past seven years, Quita has had a table business which sells rice and bread. She works 12 hours a day at her business. Her greatest challenge in business is fewer goods. She intends to use the loan to buy more rice and bread to resell. She started her business by selling for her friends. She likes her business because she makes more profit. She hopes to one day own a house and a car.
