Vitoria's story

Vitoria is a 29-year-old business woman from Liberia. She is unmarried and has three children. Two of her children are currently attending school, and they all live at home. She did not attend school but she states that she is good at managing her business. She describes herself as hardworking.

She lives and works in Gbarnga, the capital City of Bong County. Bong is located in the center of the country and is an agricultural hub. The majority of the residents are farmers growing rice, palm oil and cassava.

Vitoria has a table business, from which she has sold palm oil and dry meat for the past five years. She works 9 hours per day at her business. Her greatest challenge in the business is having few goods. She intends to use the loan to buy more palm oil and dry meat for her business. She started in business by working as a caretaker. She likes her business because she gets money from her business for her personal use. She hopes to one day own a house.
