Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Saif's story

Saif is 24 years old. He runs a small store where he sells grocery items to the people in his area. From this, he earns a small amount, which is not enough for subsistance. His family assisted him to establish his business. He is a single man who lives in Sana`a, Yemen. He aims to increase his profits, but has had inadequate funds to invest in his business. Now he is asking for a loan of 150,000 YER. This will be used to buy canned goods, soft drinks, noodles, and soap to sell in his store. He hopes to have a car to facilitate carrying his goods to his store from the market.
