A loan of $2,400 helped a member to purchase fish and beef.

Cilh Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 35-year-old Consolata Sukai from Masvingo. She is a single parent with two children and both are attending school.

Consolata runs a food business selling beef, sausages, pork and fish. The business has been in operation for 5 years. She says the main challenge being faced is that of high transport costs of ferrying cattle from Chivhu to Save where her business is situated.

Consolata has requested a loan of $600 to purchase beef and fish for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her an increase in disposable income and, hence, allow her to pay fees for her children. In the future, Consolata plans to venture into a grocery and bottle store business.
