A loan of $3,800 helped a member to restock inventory items in the food store like rice, beans, wheat flour, sugar, and baking flour.

Tiro Group's story

Naima, who is in her early thirties, is married with two children who are still going to school. She has been a food vendor for two years now. She works from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be Naima's second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to buy more stock of food to meet her customers' demand, and she has paid back her loan successfully. She used the profit to pay school fees and household expenses. She is happy with the loan. Naima wants to use this loan to restock the inventory items in the food store, including rice, beans, wheat flour, sugar, and baking flour. She dreams of owning a charcoal store.

Naima will share this loan with her loan group Tiro, which has 10 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
