Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $2,100 helped to repair his taxi.

Dagi's story

Dagi is 52 years old. He lives with his wife and three sons in Vahdat, Tajikistan. He has a high school level of education and has worked as a taxi driver since 2008. He makes runs between Dushanbe and Vahdat and usually makes 5 round-trips per day.

This job has enabled him to successfully support his family for the past 5 years. Unfortunately, however, the car that he uses as a taxi has broken down. So Dagi is asking for a loan in order to repair it which would enable him to continue providing his services. He would be very grateful for any assistance in this difficult time.
