A loan of $1,175 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages to add to her inventory.

Cherryl's story

This is Cherryl's 10th loan. She uses the loans for additional capital for her variety store. She has operated this business for five years now. The loans have helped her business and also with her household expenditures. Aside from her variety store, she also has a computer shop. She and her husband are working hard to provide for their everyday needs.

She would like to apply for another 51,000 PHP loan to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to add to her inventory. The more items displayed at the store the better, resulting in more profit. Her profits from the business will definitely help sustain her family’s daily needs and meet her children’s education expenses. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Cherryl hopes that her businesses will continue to be successful and she dreams that her children will finish their studies. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week and draws strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
