A loan of $275 helped to buy purebred sheep.

Jhossy's story

28-year-old Jhossy is a responsible man who, for 3 years, has lived with his parents and his brother Miguel in the parents' house. Jhossy breeds purebred sheep, having learned to care for them and breed them some time ago. As a result, breeders buy his animals for their flocks, particularly his rams which they use for breeding. "This business is my main hobby" he says. In addition to this, he studied Computer Engineering and now works in a local state-run hospital. His monthly wage allows him to ensure his family's financial stability and help his mother with the household expenses. This is his third KIVA loan; he is grateful for the financial support which enables him to make progress and he promises to make his repayments punctually. Jhossy will use the loan to buy purebred sheep to invigorate his business.
