A loan of $300 helped to buy soft cheese, seasoned shredded pork, oil, cabbage, tomatoes, etc.

Maria Marina's story

María lives with her two children who are 5 and 9 years old. They are both dependent on her and she does not have any family members abroad. María's business is making and selling pupusas. She works every day, from 4.00pm to 7.00pm, and has been carrying out this work, with the help of her children, for two years.

María is requesting a loan to buy the raw materials she needs such as 'quesillo' (soft cheese), 'chicharrón' (seasoned shredded pork), corn, oil, cabbage, tomatoes, etc. This will be helpful to her in her business and allow her to meet customer demand.

María's dream is to provide her children with an education and a better quality of life.
