A loan of $550 helped to buy wool in varied colors.

Hilda's story

Hilda is a humble, 49 year old woman. She is married to Moisés. They both have 5 children, whom they love very much, but they only live with 2 of them in the house she inherited from her parents. Since she was very young, she has worked in knitting, as it is a legacy of the area. Her main items are hats of all designs, sizes and colors. She sells all of her products in another city where there is a lot of demand. She also takes cheese and odds and ends to sell to the same merchants. Right now, she wants to continue knitting because she has a lot of orders, and since she is a hardworking woman, she finds herself working day and night to fill the demand. This is her fourth loan with Kiva and she is grateful for the financial help she has received. She is also committed to making her payments on time. Hilda will invest the S/.1500 soles in buying wool in varied colors to continue with her business.
