A loan of $650 helped to buy supplies to maintain her coffee crops.

Teresa De Jesus's story

Teresa de Jesús is 54 years old and has a solid marriage. She has a daughter who is now an adult, but who still lives with her parents and helps with household chores. Teresa has a lot of experience as she has been working the land for over twenty years. She is grateful to her parents who taught her this work, as farming is a tradition in the family and a source of income for supporting the household. Teresa did not go to school as her parents were very poor and could not support her with education costs. Growing coffee is something that, if you take your time and maintain the crops, can provide a good profit. So, today, Teresa is applying for a loan from "COMIXMUL" in order to buy supplies to help keep the crops clean, healthy and to avoid diseases that could damage them. Teresa's future plans are to continue improving her crops and to continue looking after them so that they remain healthy. She wants to make the coffe-growing process more technical and she does not want to lose credibility in her customers' eyes. Teresa's customers include wholesalers who come to the area looking for a good quality product.
