A loan of $375 helped to buy an overlock machine.

Bequer's story

Bequer is 22 years old. He is an independent young man. He lives in a rented house but every month he visits his mother and his family. He started developing his main goal by studying graphic design for advertising. Six years ago, he started working in a textile factory. There he learned everything he needed in that area and at his young age he has a lot of projects and goals. In that short time he learned everything he needed to know about maintenance of heavy machinery. This helped him to earn a little more money, since in his free time he offers this service to different factories in the capital. Now he has started to open his own clothing factory. They already have a straight sewing machine and very soon, he will buy more machines to outfit his little workshop. For now, he makes all types and sizes of shirts. “It's a long rode”, he says, with optimism. But he knows that with hard work and dedication he will achieve it. This is his second Kiva loan and he is sure that he can meet his goals. That is why he promises to make his payments on time. Bequer will invest the S/.1000 soles in buying an industrial overlock machine. This will improve his sewing time for the shorts he makes.
