Unith's story

Unith is a resident of Kifunjo - Rukungiri District and was born in 1980, thus being 33 years old. She is a married woman and a mother to two children who both go to school.

She attended other forms of education and became a teacher by profession. Thereafter, she started a small retail business of beans, flour, groundnuts and tomatoes in Rukungiri central market as her main business. She also has additional income from milk from her cattle farm.

Unith however was facing financial problems that were affecting her business hence she approached UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) for assistance so as to achieve her dream of establishing a big and sustainable business.
