Tawa's story

Tawa is 55 years old and lives in the West Point area which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is married, and she does not know how to read or write. She has four children aged between 38 and 19 who live on their own. She described herself as a hardworking woman.

For the past seven years she has been selling peppers, oil, salt, etc. in the local market. She sells six day a week from 7AM to 5PM. She likes her business because she has a lot of customers, and she started this business with money given to her by husband. She uses a shared taxi every time to get her goods at her table.

Tawa is requesting a loan to purchase more peppers, oil, and salt for her business. Her dream is to build a house for her children. She would like to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia.
