A loan of $600 helped to buy building supplies and agricultural supplies.

Lucio's story

Lucio, 55, is married and has two children. He lives with his wife and two children. The first one is 12 and the second one is 9 years-old. He learned his occupation in his youth and it’s been his and his family’s source of support. He has quite a bit of experience in construction work because of the long time he’s been doing it. In addition to construction work he also works in agriculture to provide his home with needed food. He buys his supplies for production in the nearest town located to the east of his house at a distance of about 1.5 kilometers. To do so, he must walk or use the most common means of transportation (horse). This somewhat limits his ability to transporting his supplies to his house.

The loan he’s asking Fundación Campo for is to buy 2000 roof tiles to repair his house. He will use the rest to buy agricultural supplies: three sacks of manure and herbicide for the grass because this is the rainy season and it gets wet. This is why he’s asking Fundación Campo for a loan so that he can have the necessary resource that’s difficult for him to have on his own so that he can proceed with his improvement project.

He comments that with this financing he will be able to improve his and his family’s life, especially his children’s guaranteeing their health and the other investment will guarantee their food. He hopes to do well by the institution, to leave an excellent credit history that will be useful for him to continue working and to his children when they are adults.
