Mamusa's story

Meet 28-year-old Mamusa from Tombo western rural in Sierra Leone. She is married and has 3 children between the ages of 3 and 8 years. She has two children that are going to school. In 2009, Mamusa established her home product business. She began her business because she wants to get a source of income to support the home. She works at the business 10 hours per day, 7 days per week. She says that the main challenges to her business are improper business location and insufficient capital to run the business. Mamusu requires a loan in order to buy cups, food containers, and plates for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to increase her business and improve her standard of living. In the future, Mamusa plans to open a big shop.
